The Friends are pleased to report that working alongside the Pebmarsh Parochial Church Council (PPCC) a grant of £5,000 has been awarded by The Friends of Essex Churches towards the £12,000 cost of repairs to the NorthChancel roof. This work we hope to see completed before Christmas. This follows the repair last year to the South chancel roof.
The grant is the largest single grant ever made by the Essex Friends and is in part a reflection of the success of our own Friends group in raising the majority of the balance of the cost of works.
